Cara Dowling is an associate in the Commercial Litigation and International Arbitration Team of Bryan Cave’s London office. She is also a member of the firm’s Global Anti-Corruption/ Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Team.
Ms. Dowling acts for clients primarily in relation to high value commercial and general contract disputes. She has significant contentious experience having assisted on a large number of multi-jurisdictional, high value claims in the High Court and Court of Appeal as well as leading international commercial arbitration institutions such as the ICC and LCIA.
Owing to the largely cross-border nature of her practice, Ms. Dowling’s experience encompasses specialist aspects of litigation such as conflict of laws, non-justiciability and jurisdictional challenges. Ms. Dowling also advises in relation to anti-corruption and compliance, in particular, the UK Bribery Act. Ms. Dowling is a qualified Solicitor Advocate (Higher Courts Civil Proceedings). In 2013, Ms. Dowling was selected for inclusion in the "Rising Stars" list in London Super Lawyers 2013 in the categories of Commercial Litigation, Fraud, Mediation, and Advocacy.
